1998 / Etsdorf / House Addition

The low-budget house addition to a simple house structure from the 1950s hovers alongside mature fruit trees.
With combined living/ dining areas and guest room, the house addition presents a closed façade to the street, oriented to the garden with full height vertical glass openings.
Pre-fabricated solid timber panels for floors, walls and roof were all erected in a day and the raw inner shell was retained as finished surfaces. These key design parameters formed part of the cost-effective construction.
