2006 / Kalmreuth / Workshop Studios

At Kalmreuths’ town edge, a new studio pavilion set within an old farmstead meadow provides workshop spaces for art classes and projects. The studio orients to the landscape and horizon and provides discreet finely detailed porches and sheltered spaces that open directly to the meadow.
External timber cladding, allowed to naturally weather, and landscaping walls and steps of insitu concrete with exposed granite aggregate form the textured material palette.
